I remember my twin telling me, “Let’s ruin the photo by sticking our tongues out!” Needless to say, my silly sister, Laura Heric, is the one on the left. You don’t think the photo was ruined though, do you?

Serendipity Meaning

serendipity meaning

The meaning “serendipity” first came up in 1754 when English writer Horace Walper used it as a reference to a Persian fairy tale called “The Three Princes of Serendip.” In this fairytale, the princes’ clever ways helped them uncover hidden clues that led them to the most bizarre discoveries —sort of like ancient-times-Sherlock Holmes.

The benefits of being in nature are numerous. The reason behind this is quite simple: there’s a very strong maternal connection between humans and nature. The love we think we deserve is the love we are accustomed to.

You’ve probably heard the word “toxic” a little bit too often. It’s easily thrown around here or there: toxic people, toxic relationships or even toxic behavior. But what exactly makes someone toxic?

Bad Gut Feeling for No Reason

Gut feeling

Have you ever had a bad gut feeling for no reason? A sensation you can’t explain? Something you can’t put your finger on, yet sounds or feels right?

It may come as an inner voice that completely opposes what your mind tells you is right. But how do you know if you should follow either this illogical sensation or what makes sense “on paper”, instead?  Or how do you know it’s not fear or anxiety speaking?
